Earlier this year I had the opportunity to be featured on the Flip Flops and Adventures podcast sharing my story on how I came to live in Italy and set up my businesses “Italy Property Consulting” and “La Dolce Vita Lifestyle Magazine”. You can listen to the podcast episode by clicking HERE.
During the podcast we spoke about the HGTV program “House Hunters International” and I said how much it would be a dream to be featured on it. Well clearly the Universe was listening to me as in June I filmed my first of two episodes for the program!

Filming took place in the charming Sicilian town of Terrasini, on the outskirts of Palermo.
What an experience.
Picture the scene : we are filming in a bustling Sicilian neighborhood where silence is golden for our sound technician. But we had anything but silence! Planes flying past, church bells ringing, scooters and Ape vans whizzing by, nonnas throwing buckets of water over the balcony, people stopping in the street to watch and stare as these foreigners took over their town for a week.
Absolutely hilarious. So much “ACTION” then “STOP” and the process was repeated constantly, all under the blistering heat of the Sicilian sunshine.
The story involved me helping my friend Jennifer Sontag of “Italian Citizenship Concierge” find her new forever home in Terrasini, the town where her grandparents were born.
What an experience! Terrasini is also known as the “città dell’amore” (the city of love) and there were heart shaped sculptures, graffiti and signs everywhere! Super cute!
Definitely a town worth investigating from a potential real estate perspective given the close proximity to Palermo and the airport, along with the seaside towns of Mondello which is the luxury beach town on the outskirts of Palermo and also Cefalù – an absolute MUST to visit!
Property prices in Terrasini are still super reasonable!
